Ah, Virginia

We just got back from an almost 2 week trip down to Virginia. We had a great time visiting with family and friends and we had quite a few adventures. Hudson made a new friend! He and Jakson laughed, played, and even fed each other goldfish crackers. Here they are hanging out with their Uncle Mike and Aunt Hillary and taking a spin in Jakson's wagon.

We went to the newly named Virginia aquarium to check out the sea life. Hudson had good time running around when he could. He especially loved the sea turtles. He stood at the glass and sat on Jordan's shoulders for a long time just watching them as they swam right in front of him. No- the one he is touching is not real! Our lover of all things from the sea also found a new favorite plaything down at Grammy and Papa's house...Papa's new boat! He constantly wanted to play around at the wheel. He would even (you can kind of tell in the first picture) make motorboat noises as he was "driving." Do you think Hudson is destined to be a Coastie like his Dad and Great Grandfather?

4th of July! Hudson and I experienced our first 4th of July in Eclipse. We saw lots of family and quite a few friends throughout the day and evening. Hudson especially liked all the firetrucks that passed by, while most everyone one else was scrambling for the candy that was thrown our way. Grammy and Papa watched Hudson while we went to watch the fireworks at night. We saw one of the most unique fireworks displays ever. Five minutes into the show the sky opened up and it started to rain. The rain was followed by a lightening and thunder storm that added an air of drama to the show: while a burst of firework light exploded, a streak of lightening would shoot across the sky just behind the firework and the sound from the firework would be followed by a huge crash of thunder. It really was pretty amazing...too bad the weather shortened the length of the firework show

That's all from these parts for now. It is summertime so we will be having many more adventures and mini vacations. Check back soon to see if anything is new, or, get crazy and give us a call!

Baby #2!

As many of you already know we are expecting another Baby! We recently (well, back in June) had an ultrasound to check up on Baby #2 and as far as we know everything looked good. We don't yet know what our little one's gender is, but we are hoping to find out at our upcoming appointment. It is still a bit early so we aren't holding our breaths. Here is our favorite picture from the "photo shoot."
